Chris Johnson oversees all aspects of managing Shanda’s 200,000 acres of timberland located in Central and Southern Oregon. The timberlands encompass a large diversity of forests ranging from high-elevation, fir-dominated forests to lower-elevation, dry forests of ponderosa and lodgepole pine.
Prior to joining Shanda, Chris worked as a forester for several timberland owners in the region. He is well known for his long-term vision for the health and sustainability of the land under his management.
Chris received a BS in Forest Management from Oregon State University in 1993. He is involved with many regional fire prevention associations, Central Oregon chapter of the Society of American Foresters, and he serves on state-level forest practices and forestry finance committees.
