Iris Lai

Iris Lai has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Iris currently serves as the Director of Business Development & IR at Shanghai Mingshi Investment Management, a position they have held since September 2020. Prior to this, Iris was the Head of Sales & Marketing at Caitong International Asset Management Co., Limited from March 2017 to April 2020. In this role, they managed various responsibilities including fundraising, investor relations, manager sourcing and onboarding, and business management. Iris also held positions at Springboard Capital Limited as VP Investor Relations from August 2015 to February 2017, Ortus Capital Management Limited as Investor Relations from May 2011 to July 2015, Merrill Lynch as a Specialist in Client Onboarding Services from February 2008 to July 2009, and Phillips, Hager & North as a Client Services Representative from August 2005 to November 2007.

Iris Lai earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a focus on Finance and Marketing, from the University of British Columbia between the years 2000 and 2005. Iris went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2011. During their studies, they also briefly attended NYU Stern School of Business in 2010 to further their MBA studies in Finance.
