Dong Zhu

Vice Dean At The School Of Wushu (chinese Martial Arts) at Shanghai University of Sports

Dong Zhu has extensive experience in education and martial arts, currently serving as Vice Dean at both the School of Wushu and the School of International Education at Shanghai University of Sports since 1998 and 2014, respectively. In these roles, Dong Zhu is responsible for overseeing teaching administration and international student affairs, while also teaching theory and practice to Wushu majors and conducting research related to Wushu training and health interventions. Additionally, Dong Zhu directs the Chinese Martial Arts Research Center, organizing academic conferences and lectures. Prior experience includes working as a choreographer for a children's program at Shanghai Oriental TV Station and serving as a P.E. teacher at Shanghai Changning International School. Dong Zhu was also a visiting scholar in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
