Matt Harris

As Asset Manager, Matt is responsible for the oversight of the Shannon Waltchack Neighborhood Center Fund (SWNC) properties, in addition to several Shannon Waltchack legacy centers. Working closely with the property management, leasing, legal, and banking partners, Matt is responsible for achieving each investment’s financial objectives with an emphasis on enhancing returns for owners and JV partners. Matt also assists with due diligence activities for new acquisitions and securing debt.

Matt grew up in Auburn, Alabama, and attended Auburn University, graduating with a degree in Finance. After college, Matt served with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) for two years, splitting time between partnership campuses in Southwest China and Cru’s office at Auburn University. After Cru, he got his start in the real estate business by working as an analyst for a real estate developer who specializes in big box retail redevelopments. Matt also brings banking knowledge to the team, having worked two years in the corporate finance department for a large regional bank headquartered in Birmingham. Matt is an active member of The International Council of Shopping Centers “ICSC” as well as both Alabama and National CCIM Chapters.
