Thomas Abkemeier

With nearly 30 years of experience with Shannon & Wilson, Tom is a Vice President and serves as the Office Manager for the Saint Louis Office. His experience is in both the office and field aspects of geotechnical engineering, with an emphasis in large project management, shoring systems, computerized slope and embankment stability studies, and geotechnical instrumentation. Tom has been responsible for planning and monitoring subsurface exploration programs; siting studies; and analysis, design, and instrumentation of foundations, earth dams, excavations, and earth-retaining structures.
