Brian Vrieland is a seasoned professional in the field of automation and engineering, currently serving as the Laser Solution Manager at Shape Process Automation since February 2010. In this role, Vrieland focuses on the development of laser-based trimming solutions utilizing advanced technologies such as Trumpf disk lasers and IPG fiber lasers, integrated with Fanuc robots. Previously, Vrieland held the position of Market Segment Manager at Genesis Systems from 2006 to 2009, managing assembly systems with a focus on servo fastening and pressing, while also supporting Japanese servo equipment sales. Earlier experience includes serving as Program Manager at General Motors from 2003 to 2006, where responsibilities included ensuring design quality and verification for vehicle components. Vrieland holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Calvin College, completed in 1993.
