Atul Satish Takalkar, Ph.D. has worked as a CAE Engineer at Shape Corp. since March 2021. Atul Satish'sresponsibilities included conducting research and development on various manufacturing processes, designing and simulating manufacturing processes such as stamping and bending, and predicting failure using theoretical models.
Before joining Shape Corp., Atul worked as a Project Engineer (CAE) at TECOSIM Engineering Services Pvt Ltd from February 2019 to February 2021. In this role, they were involved in R&D activities, collaborated with clients and institutes, designed and simulated forming and stamping tools, and oversaw manufacturing process setup and simulation.
Prior to their position at TECOSIM, Atul had an internship as a CAE Internship Trainee at Tube Investments of India Limited from October 2014 to April 2015. During this internship, they focused on deep drawing process design and development, modeling deep drawing tools, and conducting finite element analysis of the deep drawing process.
Atul Satish Takalkar, Ph.D. pursued their education in Mechanical Engineering. Atul Satish completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Shivaji University from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they obtained a M. Tech degree specializing in CAD-CAM from Vellore Institute of Technology between 2013 and 2015. Atul Satish further continued their academic journey at the same institute and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering between 2016 and 2020. As part of their research interests, they participated in the Research Internship Program at National Cheng Kung University from 2020 to 2021.
