Jeffrey Bedel is the current Director of Transportation at Shapiro Metals. Prior to this, they held the position of Field Transportation Manager at Office Depot from September 2018 to November 2022. In this role, they were responsible for managing the entire location, overseeing both the driver and warehouse personnel in relation to customer service and interaction, final mile delivery, routing, volume optimization and efficiency, dispatching, safety accountability, DOT compliance, asset management, personnel sourcing and disciplinary culpability, and entire location pecuniary responsibility. In addition, they obtained the largest improvement on the Employee Engagement Survey company wide – improving overall survey score from 43 engagement points to 73 points within 1 year.

In their role as Director of Transportation at Shapiro Metals, Jeffrey is responsible for leading the transportation team and developing strategies to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Jeffrey is also tasked with 3PL improvement, carrier evaluation, and carrier diversification

Jeffrey Bedel's educational career includes a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations/Electronic Journalism from Lindenwood University. Jeffrey also has certification from Cintas in Smith Driver Training Certification and Six Sigma Green Belt.
