Senior Windows Application Engineer

We’re looking for a motivated Windows Application Engineer to help us make our next-gen 3D modeling app the most used CAD platform.

You will be building a world-class application experience for Windows platform, and working on major features to create and maintain the best user experience.

We work in an agile environment with a strong focus on well-structured code, testing, and continuous integration. We do our best to build a sustainable code that enables high speed and high quality. Pragmatic decisions and approaches help us maintain a good balance between quality and speed. We don’t have dedicated roles for specific tasks; every engineer is equally responsible for engineering design, implementation, as well as unit and integration testing.

What will you do?

• Your expertise in Windows application development will help drive our mission forward and make Shapr3D an iconic app for design professionals
• Your experience in .NET, C#, and XAML will be utilized by fellow developers across the company in building and shipping high-quality products
• You will work in a cross-functional team, where while you will be the one leading the Windows efforts of your projects, sometimes you have to touch code for the Apple platforms too
• You will work on one of the most complex products ever built on a modern Windows technology stack. You'll be responsible for driving technical improvements across our stack
• You will work closely with senior engineers across multiple teams to define best practices and strengthen the foundation of our product
• Your dedication to a great UX will help us succeed in our mission to deliver the best experience for our customers. You will be involved in building high-quality, performant experiments
• While working on the product roadmap, you will develop experimental features helping users onboard seamlessly to a complex product

What will you need to be successful?

• A demonstrated experience with Windows application technologies (ideally with relevant industry experience)
• Windows UI experience (UWP, WPF)
• Product mindset, users come first
• Experimental mindset, experiments do fail, the more important thing is what we learn from them
• Willingness to learn some C++ and iOS development, any experience with these is a huge plus
• A proven track record of writing high-quality, testable, maintainable code
• Architectural design skills
  
  

A sneak peek into our stack...

• On Windows, we ship our app as a Universal Windows App and write the majority of the native code in C# and XAML
• For our iPadOS and macOS app we build our UI and application logic in Swift (plus some Objective-C, mostly for gluing Sfift and C++ together), while for the Windows app in C#/XAML
• Our cross-plaftorm CAD engine is written in standard C++20
• Our proprietary rendering engine uses native DirectX and DirectX 11 APIs
