Laura Perry

Laura Perry has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Laura is currently a Senior Frontend Engineer at SHAREFOX.CO - Your Rental Software, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Tietoevry as the Head of User Experience for the Financial Crime Prevention Platform from December 2020 to July 2022. Laura also served as a Software Developer at Tietoevry, where they managed the front-end development team and implemented an improved transaction monitoring system from January 2019 to December 2020.

Before joining Tietoevry, Laura founded their own software development freelance company called LP Freelancing in September 2018. As a Consultant and Business Owner, they focused primarily on web development and worked on projects such as developing an e-commerce site for a multinational Tequila company and consulting a large liquor retailer on their e-commerce and CRM strategies.

Earlier in their career, Laura worked at Deloitte Canada as a Consultant and Business Technology Analyst. Laura led the development team for a multi-million-dollar Salesforce implementation for a higher education institution recruitment platform and also developed public-facing web applications to enhance access to provincial social services and streamline workers' compensation claim processes.

Laura's work experience also includes being an NSERC USRA Summer Research Student at Western University, where they conducted research in big data analytics. Laura has also worked at Petrominerales as an Operations Summer Student, where they implemented filing systems, developed desktop applications, and programmed macros for increased efficiency.

In addition, Laura interned at SFN Biosystems Inc., where they rebuilt control systems, designed visual interfaces, and created a new website to attract investors.

Overall, Laura Perry has a strong background in software development, user experience, and project management, with experience in diverse industries such as rental software, financial crime prevention, consulting, research, and operations.

Laura Perry attended Western University from 2011 to 2016, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Software Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering and an Honours Business Administration (HBA) from the Ivey Business School. Laura'sfield of study for both degrees was in software engineering. Additionally, Laura obtained various certifications including Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 from Avalanche Canada in December 2017, Salesforce.com Certified Administrator from Salesforce in September 2016, Advanced Adventurer and Open Water Diver from Scuba Schools International in June 2016, and WSET Level 1 from WSET - Wine & Spirit Education Trust in June 2011.
