Wendy Mbugua

Wendy Mbugua, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Wendy started their career at City of Hope as a Process Improvement Facilitator from May 2009 to January 2013. Wendy then joined UCI Health as a Program Management/Performance Improvement Consultant from January 2013 to February 2014. Wendy continued their journey at Kaiser Permanente as an Assistant Department Administrator from February 2014 to December 2015. Wendy then joined UVA Health where they held various roles including Manager, Infusion Procedural Center from January 2016 to July 2018, Director, Clinical Operations from July 2018 to July 2021, and Service Line Administrator, Oncology (Interim) from March 2021 to June 2022. Currently, they are working as the System Vice President, Oncology Service Line at Sharp HealthCare from July 2022.

Wendy Mbugua, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Kennesaw State University from 1995 to 2001. Wendy then pursued their Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Healthcare Administration, at UCLA from 2009 to 2011.
