Dusty Argyle

Dusty Argyle has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and software engineering. Dusty is the founder of DustyCodes, a company they established in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the US Software Lead at Sharper Shape Inc. starting from 2021.

Before joining Sharper Shape Inc., Dusty served as a Robotics Software Engineer and Technical Lead at Sarcos Robotics for four years, from 2017 to 2021. In this role, they were responsible for writing software for robots, involving controls, sensor fusion, image processing, simulation, and more.

Dusty's earlier experience includes working as an SRE at University of Utah UIT from 2014 to 2017, where they architectured infrastructure using automated strategies and designed automatic build and deployment systems. Dusty started their professional career as a QA Engineer Intern at University of Utah - Employment in 2013 and previously worked as an Intern at L-3 Communications in 2012.

Throughout their career, Dusty has gained expertise in various programming languages such as C++, Python, and C. Dusty has experience with UAVs/Drones, Airsim, Gazebo, ROS, PX4, APM, DJI, and custom Onboard SDKs. Dusty also has knowledge in computer vision, controls, software architecture, design, GIS, and project management.

Dusty Argyle completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah between the years 2013 and 2016. Prior to that, they attended Utah State University from 2012 to 2013 to pursue Computer Engineering but did not obtain a degree. In September 2016, Dusty obtained a certification in ITILF from Exin.
