John Keehn, LCSW, CADC, is a seasoned professional in the field of social work with extensive experience in counseling and behavioral intervention. Currently serving as a Counselor at Shawnee Health since August 2022 and as a Behavior Interventionist for Anna District #37 since August 2019, John has a diverse background that includes roles as a Family Services Counselor at Centerstone and Counselor I at Gateway Foundation. Previous experience also includes serving as a School Counselor, Masters Intern, and Dorm Supervisor at Brehm Preparatory School. Early career roles included Emergency Services Coordinator and Transitional Living Intern at Good Samaritan. John's educational credentials include a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (B.S.S.W.), both from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Shawnee Health Service is a comprehensive, coordinated network of community health centers and services located throughout Jackson and Williamson Counties. Shawnee provides Integrated Primary Medical and Behavioral Health care, including Addiction Medicine, Counseling, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, and Same Day. In addition, we provide Behavioral Health Care, Nutrition/Dietary Counseling, OB/GYN Care, and Weight Management. We also provide both General and Pediatric Dentistry. Shawnee currently has nine medical providers, seven dentists, and sixteen mid-levels providers. Since our beginning in 1971, Shawnee Health Service and Development Corporation has fostered the development of health and social services in southern Illinois.
