Carolyn Bauer is an experienced curator with a solid background in art history and museum training. Currently serving as Curator at the Shelburne Museum since June 2014, Carolyn Bauer has held various roles within the institution, including Associate Curator, Assistant Curator, and Curatorial Assistant. Prior to this, Carolyn Bauer gained valuable experience as a Graduate Curatorial Intern at The Phillips Collection and worked as Assistant Cataloguer at The George Washington University’s Art and Art History Department Visual Resource Center. Additional internships include a Graduate Curatorial Intern position at the U.S. House of Representatives and a Graduate Curatorial and Exhibitions Intern role at Arlington Arts Center. Carolyn Bauer holds a Master of Arts in Art History with Museum Training from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with a Minor in Anthropology from Lawrence University.
