Resia Brooks

Resia Brooks is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the field of education. Since 2015, Resia has served as the Human Resources Supervisor at the Shelby County Board of Education. Prior to this position, Resia was the Principal at Forest Oaks Elementary School from 2011 to 2015 and held the role of Alabama Reading Initiative State Regional Partner at the Alabama State Department of Education from 2008 to 2011. Resia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Reading-Teacher Education from Auburn University, a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Montevallo, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching, also from the University of Montevallo.
