Sherri Spears

Sherri Spears is an experienced educator with a strong background in gifted education, currently serving as the Secondary Gifted Education Lead Teacher for the Shelby County Board of Education since August 2013. Prior to this role, Sherri held positions as a Gifted Education/PreAP teacher at SCBOE Chelsea Middle School from August 2007 to August 2013, and as an English 9 and Broadcast Journalism teacher at SCBOE Oak Mountain High School from August 2001 to May 2006. Sherri's educational credentials include a Gifted Education Specialist degree from The University of Alabama (2010-2013) and two Master of Education degrees in Secondary Education from the University of Montevallo (1996-2001 and August 1999 - May 2001).
