Jay Strauss

Jay Strauss is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in financial services. Currently serving as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Shelter Growth Capital Partners since March 2014, Jay has previously held senior roles at Fortress Investment Group as Senior Vice President, Deutsche Bank as Managing Director and Senior Counsel, and Goldman Sachs as Vice President and Associate General Counsel. Early in Jay's career, positions included Assistant Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Nomura Securities and Associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Jay holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University.
