David Barraco, CPA, has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. David started their career as a Senior Accountant at KPMG Audit from 1999 to 2001, followed by a position as a Senior Accountant at Getty Petroleum from 2001 to 2005. David then worked as an Assistant Controller at Slomins, Inc. from 2005 to 2008.
In 2008, David joined ShelterPoint Life, where they held various roles. David started as an Assistant Controller from 2008 to 2010, then moved on to become a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis from 2010 to 2013. From 2014 to 2020, they served as a Director of Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis. Most recently, David worked as an Assistant Vice President of Finance from 2020 to 2022, before being promoted to Vice President and Controller in March 2022.
Throughout their career, David demonstrated their ability to develop and maintain effective planning, reporting, and analysis capabilities. David also proficiently communicated financial and operational performance trends to senior leadership using key performance indicators.
David Barraco, CPA completed their Bachelor's degree in Business, with a focus on Accounting, at Hofstra University from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, they obtained their high school diploma from Massapequa High School. David also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
