Derek Izuel

Derek Izuel has an extensive work experience in the investment management industry. Derek currently holds the position of Chief Investment Officer at Shelton Capital Management since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Partner at Vitruvian Capital Management from January 2018 to January 2022. Derek also has experience as the Chief Equity Officer at HighMark Capital Management, where they worked from November 2012 to January 2018, and as the Director of Quantitative Strategies from November 2008 to November 2012. Before joining HighMark Capital Management, Derek worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Invesco Aim from 1998 to 2008. Derek started their career as a Research Analyst at GT Global from May 1997 to July 1998.

Derek Izuel earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. Derek later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, graduating in 1997.
