Colin Ainsworth

Colin Ainsworth is an accomplished Academic Writing Advisor at Shemmassian Academic Consulting since October 2024 and a Humanities Tutor at Intelligentsia Tutoring Co. since September 2022. Ainsworth previously worked as an L&PD VCE Producer at Korn Ferry from November 2021 to January 2024, and served as an Administrative Assistant for the Human Sexuality Project at Columbia University in the City of New York from June to August 2022. Ainsworth has experience in editorial roles, having been a Reviewer at Publishers Weekly from June 2021 to June 2022, a Researcher for iHeartRadio from April 2019 to January 2020, and a Researcher/Writer for the TBD Podcast with Tina Brown from August 2018 to April 2019. Ainsworth started the professional journey as an Editorial Intern at Mental Floss from November 2018 to March 2019. An MFA in Fiction was earned from Columbia University School of the Arts (2020-2022), in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in English (with a focus in Creative Writing) and Religious Studies from Kenyon College (2014-2017). Ainsworth commenced higher education at Hamilton College in 2013.
