Craig Smith

Craig Smith has extensive experience in education and the biotechnology industry. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher for Shenandoah County Public Schools since September 2022, Craig previously held a significant role at Thermo Fisher Scientific from September 2005 to September 2022 as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing site projects. Prior to that, Craig worked as a Technical Operations Manager, managing product portfolio maintenance and troubleshooting technical issues. Beginning the career at Fisher Diagnostics as a Project Manager focused on Assay Development, and earlier as a Product Development Scientist at Bayer Diagnostics responsible for new product development. Craig started in quality control at Technicon Corporation in 1987. Academic credentials include an MBA in Business Administration and an MEd in Higher Education from James Madison University, along with a BS in Biology from the same institution.
