Dr. Yolanda Gibson serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Vice President for Student Success at Shenandoah University since June 2019. Prior to this role, Dr. Gibson was an American Council on Education Leadership Fellow at Towson University from August 2018 to June 2019. Dr. Gibson's extensive background in higher education includes serving as Associate Dean of First Year Experience at Marymount University, where responsibilities included managing the newly established Office of First Year Experience and overseeing seminar courses for new students. Dr. Gibson also held roles such as Director of Alumni Relations at Marymount University, Director of the Student Success Center at the University of the District of Columbia, and Academic Coordinator at George Washington University. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Arts in Higher Education Administration and a MAIS in Community College Education-Communications from George Mason University, as well as a BA in Mass Communication/Business Administration from Marymount University.
