Graham Findlater

Graham Findlater has a diverse background in risk management and finance. Graham is currently working as the Chief Risk Officer at Shepherds Friendly, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Head of Risk and Compliance at Shepherds Friendly from January 2022 to January 2023.

Before joining Shepherds Friendly, Graham worked at The North of England P&I Association Limited as the Head of Group Risk from October 2010 to January 2022. In this role, they were responsible for risk management, capital adequacy, actuarial analysis, and project support for the Group risk function. Graham worked closely with various departments to develop and implement risk registers, risk reporting, and monitoring systems. Graham also reported on capital adequacy to regulators and conducted capital modeling for underwriting, market, and operational risks.

Prior to their time at The North of England P&I Association Limited, Graham worked at RPMI as an Investment Account Manager from January 2009 to October 2010. In this role, they were responsible for fund accounting of custodial assets and managing the relationship with an outsourced vendor. Graham also worked on project outsourcing accounting for private equity funds.

Before joining RPMI, Graham worked at Resolute Management Services Ltd as a Management Accountant and Actuarial Analyst from January 2000 to November 2007. Graham'sresponsibilities included valuing commutations, negotiating commutations, and maintaining management reporting of gross balance sheet reserves.

Graham began their career at Royal London (formerly united assurance group) as an Actuarial Assistant from November 1997 to January 2000. In this role, they worked in the life assurance team and assisted with product queries, financial accounts projections, and surveys.

Overall, Graham Findlater has extensive experience in risk management, finance, and actuarial analysis in various industries.

Graham Findlater completed the International Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management in 2019. Prior to that, they were a member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Graham also holds a BSc (hons) degree in Physics from the University of Leeds. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained certifications in Artificial Intelligence Foundations, including Neural Networks and Thinking Machines, from LinkedIn. Graham also completed a certification in Excel: Power Pivot for Beginners from LinkedIn.
