Mark Simmonds

Mark Simmonds is a Process Development Scientist with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently employed at Sherlock Biosciences since February 2023, Mark previously held the same title at Sense Biodetection Ltd. from February 2020 to April 2023, also serving as a Senior Laboratory Technician during that time. Mark's earlier career spanned over two decades at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where a variety of roles included Senior Research Assistant with a focus on sequence finishing and production of microarrays and next-generation sequencing libraries. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology from the University of Hertfordshire, completed in 1997.
