James G. Sawtelle

James G. Sawtelle is a member of the law firm of Sherman & Howard in Denver, Colorado. James was previously a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP from 2010 to 2014, where they served as the Media, Publishing and Marketing Industry Group Leader (Firmwide) and Hiring Partner and Recruiting Committee Chair for the Colorado offices (Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs). Prior to that, they were a partner at Faegre Drinker (formerly Faegre & Benson) from 2004 to 2010, and a shareholder at Duncan Green, P.C. from 2001 to 2004. From 1999 to 2001, they served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado. James began their legal career as a shareholder at Sullivan & Ward, P.C. in 1992.

James G. Sawtelle received their J.D. with Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, where they were also a member of the Iowa Law Review. James received their B.A. with Distinction from the University of Iowa, where they were also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
