Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Digital Marketing Strategy to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in leading our digital marketing efforts, driving business strategy, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of extensive experience in digital marketing, with a strong background in business strategy and team leadership within an agency, brand (or combined) setting. Prior experience in eCommerce is required. 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with client objectives and business goals. Provide strategic direction and guidance to the digital marketing team.
  • Team Development: Mentor, coach, and develop a team of digital marketing professionals and contractors. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture. Institute quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts. Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, strategic insights, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Develop sales collateral including sales proposals for digital marketing clients. Represent the agency at sales meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as production, design and development to ensure seamless integration and alignment of digital marketing initiatives.
  • Performance Optimization: Utilize data-driven insights to optimize digital marketing campaigns for clients across various channels including UX/UI, email marketing, CRO, SEO, PPC, and GA4. Implement best practices to drive conversions and maximize ROI.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to track campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, with a focus on business strategy and team leadership.

  • Proven track record of managing client accounts and driving results in an agency environment.

  • Strong expertise in UX/UI, email marketing, CRO, SEO, PPC and GA4.

  • Must have experience in the eCommerce industry (Shopify, BigCommerce, and Magento).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies to both internal teams and external clients.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for innovation.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience reporting to C-suite executives and representing the agency at sales and marketing events.

  • Up to date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently.

  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

  • Solid negotiation skills and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with clients and management.

  • Ability to communicate & collaborate cross-culturally.

  • Willingness and ability to travel.
