We are seeking a Development Land Surveyor, Associate Director to join the commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to join a team with ambitious growth plans and that offers excellent career progression opportunities.  There is a fantastic opportunity to establish yourself as leading advisor in the development land sector.  Whilst you will be part of the broader commercial team, this role will be located in Dublin while also working on other projects within the team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Commercial business strategy that grows turnover, achieves business goals, KPIs and targets.
  • Lead and support in negotiations for disposals and acquisitions primarily of development land but also across a range of commercial property categories.
  • Lead and assist with originating development land advisory assignments.
  • Originate business for the company by proactively unearthing potential development land opportunities that will include engaging and advising land owners, acquisition clients while managing other stakeholder relationships.
  • You will be required to maintain an excellent knowledge of changes to planning and government policies that have an important impact on the development land sector.
  • Proactively drive processes to assist the team with originating new development land opportunities and continuing to improve our database to support the development land business.
  • Work closely with out new homes team to provide vital support on residential disposal and acquisition development land engagements.
  • Support the commercial team with public tenders including those for the LDA and local authorities where the firm has been selected on their panel of advisors.
  • Support our research team with research and insight reports in relation to development land.
  • Liaise with the other commercial team members to support each other with relevant assignments including the valuation team who may seek support on development land valuations.
  • Liaise with private clients, investors, fund managers and asset managers on a regular basis.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with current clients, acting as main liaison on specific projects.
  • Actively develop new business opportunities through relationships, networking and marketing activities to enhance our brand and reputation.
  • Utilises all relevant technology systems provided, maintains up to date and accurate records, ensuring transactions are continually and appropriately recorded.
  • Foster strong working relationships with the New Homes, Residential, Financial Services and Franchise businesses to identify and maximise synergies and business development opportunities.
  • Retain and develop employees, leveraging strengths, motivating, empowering and supporting your team through effective communication, motivation, recognition and personalised development.
  • Support the enhancement of the Sherry FitzGerald brand through strong presence in the marketplace as well as with professional bodies and other institutions.
  • Identify and act on referrals as they present themselves across Sherry FitzGerald Group.
  • Champion the Company Values always and encourage others to live the values, give feedback and recognise others’ contributions, share learnings and innovations.

Role requirements and capabilities:

  • Chartered member of the SCSI / RICS with a minimum of 5 years' post qualified experience.

  • Development land expertise for Commercial/New Homes and mixed use development sites.

  • Proven ability to nurture and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and influencing in individual, group, and virtual settings.

  • Full clean driver licence and access to a car.

  • PSRA Licence.
