Rick Perkins

Rick Perkins has extensive experience in the coatings industry, currently serving as Global Product Manager for Passive Fire Protection at Sherwin-Williams since November 2018 and holding the position of FIRETEX Project Development Manager at Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings since August 2013. Previously, Rick Perkins worked at Sherwin Williams/Leighs Paints as Technology Licensing & Technical Support from September 2011 to August 2013, and as Technology Licence Manager from October 2007 to October 2011, where responsibilities included licensing high-performance coating technologies. Earlier roles include Technical Services Chemist and Research Chemist at Leighs Paints from May 1992 to October 2007, focusing on technical support and the development of intumescent fire protection materials. Rick Perkins earned a BSc in Chemistry from De Montfort University from 1987 to 1991.
