Ryan Hutson

Senior Lead, Design at Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation

Ryan Hutson has extensive experience in design and graphic arts. Ryan is currently working as a Senior Lead, Design at the Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Design Lead at the same company from January 2022 to January 2023. Ryan also worked as a Senior Associate, Design from December 2019 to January 2022, and as a Design Associate from September 2018 to December 2019 at the Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation.

Before joining the foundation, Ryan Hutson served as the Art Director at the Cal Poly Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) from June 2017 to June 2018. During this time, they led a team of 15 designers, oversaw weekly design meetings, and managed design deadlines for a technical journal and its packaging.

Ryan also worked as a Graphic Designer at KCPR Cal Poly Radio from September 2015 to June 2018 and as a Graphic Designer at CP Mustang News from May 2017 to April 2018.

In addition, Ryan Hutson gained valuable experience as a Design Intern at the Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation from June 2017 to September 2017. In this role, they contributed to maintaining and expanding the brand presence across digital and print platforms, developed a visual identity system for a conference, and provided solutions for users' stories on a website.

Ryan Hutson completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Art & Design, with a concentration in Graphic Design, from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Ryan attended the university from 2013 to 2018. Later, in 2021 to 2022, Ryan pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Type Design from Type West at Letterform Archive.
