Introduction to Shield AI Founded in 2015, Shield AI is a venture-backed defense technology company whose mission is to protect service members and civilians with intelligent systems. In pursuit of this mission, Shield AI is building the world’s best AI pilot. Its AI pilot, Hivemind, has flown a fighter jet (F-16), a vertical takeoff and landing drone (V-BAT), and a quadcopter (Nova). The company has offices in San Diego, Dallas, Washington DC and abroad. Shield AI’s products and people are currently in the field actively supporting operations with the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. allies.

We are actively looking for a talented Technical Recruiter to join our team as we embark on an exciting phase of growth. As a key member of our dynamic Talent team, you'll play a pivotal role in discovering exceptional candidates who embody a collaborative ethos, resilience, and a wealth of diverse perspectives. Your primary responsibilities will involve meticulously sourcing and screening top-tier candidates, leveraging your expertise and attention to detail. Your innate creativity and determination, coupled with your adept interpersonal skills, enable you to cultivate enduring connections. Moreover, your proficiency in data analysis empowers you to derive valuable insights, enhancing the efficacy and refinement of our hiring processes.

Who you are:

  • Inspired by Shield AI’s mission and values; able to confidently and skillfully discuss our product
  • You're inquisitive and curious to ask the right questions in order to understand hiring needs
  • You are creative and driven, with an interpersonal savvy that allows you to quickly develop and engage with candidates
  • You know your way around LinkedIn Recruiter and other AI sourcing tools
  • You know your way around an applicant tracking system (ATS) and even better if you've worked with Lever ATS
  • You have technical recruiting experience and even better if it's within the AI or robotics space!

What you'll do:

  • Engage and develop positive partnerships with hiring managers, both remotely and in person
  • Manage a full-time requisition load of 10-15 on average
  • Source, screen, and manage the full candidate interview experience from first contact through final offer negotiation
