John Cochran

John Cochran is the current VP of Strategy and Engagement at Shield AI. Prior to this, they served as the Acting Director of the Close Combat Lethality Task Force under the Office of the Secretary of Defense from June 2018 to September 2020. Cochran has also held the position of Congressional Fellow for Transitioning Service Members under Senator Mike Rounds from September 2020 to March 2021. John's previous experience also includes serving as Joint Staff J8 Branch Chief at Joint Staff- J8, Force Application Division from June 2017 to May 2018, and HQDA G-8 Aviation Directorate Executive Officer at HQDA G-8 Aviation from July 2015 to June 2016.

John Cochran holds a Bachelor of Science from Occidental College in Diplomacy and World Affairs, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University in Business Administration and Management, and a Masters of Science in National Security from the National War College.
