Andrew Hawkins

Andrew Hawkins has over 24 years of work experience in the technology industry. In 1996, they began their career as the Internet and Systems Manager at Cafe Internet Ltd. Andrew then moved to Cable and Wireless Communications in 1997 as a Solutions Architect. In 1999, they joined Microsoft as an Architectural Consultant and progressed through the ranks to a pure sales role. In 2006, they became Co-Founder and CEO of umee, a leading digital technology agency. In 2010, they founded isMUSTARD Consulting Ltd and held various roles including Co-Founder & Chief Product and Technology Officer at myCircle and Vice President of Products, Europe at IMImobile. In 2014, they became Chief Technology Officer at PepperHQ. In 2017, they joined HSBC as Global CTO of Digital Channels and Global CTO of Mobile. In 2020, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at Zopa and in 2022, they became Chief Product & Technology Officer at Shieldpay.

Andrew Hawkins attended European School, Culham from 1979 to 1986, Warwick Academy from 1986 to 1989, and Sevenoaks School from 1989 to 1991. Andrew then went on to pursue a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering at UCL from 1991 to 1996. In February 2022, they obtained an Introduction to Blockchain for Financial Services certification from INSEAD.
