Crystal Chuckel

Crystal Chuckel joined Shields in 2020 as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, bringing a unique mix of integrated marketing and communications leadership to the Executive Leadership Team.

Crystal joined Shields after spending the previous 12 years at General Electric, where she most recently served as the communications executive for the $6 billion United States and Canada region of the GE Healthcare business. Within the Region, she was responsible for the company’s brand, and reputation; internal and external communications; crisis and issues management; enabling commercial execution; and was on the executive leadership team responsible for the company’s COVID-19 response.

Prior to that, she also spent three years at GE Capital, where she led a team that redefined the value proposition, brand, and go-to-market strategy for a newly created captive finance business.

Crystal is leveraging her diverse background to develop an integrated marketing and communications strategy that brings Shields’ value prop and brand to life, using a progressive approach to better define the health system owned specialty pharmacy market and drive engagement among key stakeholders. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Journalism and Political Science. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Ryan, and three kids.

She is an active volunteer within her community and across multiple nonprofits focused on childhood cancer awareness and fundraising.
