Kevin Lamár Peterman

Kevin Lamár Peterman serves as the Chief of Staff and Assistant Vice President & Deputy Chief of Staff at UNCF since May 2023. Previously, Kevin has held roles including Associate Pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church since January 2019 and Chief of Staff at The Next Step Public Charter School from August 2022 to May 2023. At Howard University, Kevin was the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Assessment and co-founded the Ethical Leadership & Racial Justice Initiative from September 2019 to September 2022. Experience also includes serving as a Higher Education Executive Search Consultant at Isaacson, Miller, and as a fellow at the Frederick D. Patterson Research Institute. Kevin's educational background encompasses a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University, a Master of Science in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, and ongoing doctoral studies in Higher Education Leadership & Policy at Howard University.
