VP, Legacy Foundations at Shimmick Construction

Rusty Lucido is the Vice President of Shimmick’s Legacy Foundations division. This division performs challenging foundations, drilled shafts, and shoring projects across the US. Rusty is a second-generation driller who grew up in the industry and knows the importance of delivering what is promised in a safe and efficient manner. Rusty leads a highly coordinated team of professionals with decades of experience in the geotechnical construction industry, dedicated to providing the highest quality of work in the safest manner possible, while remaining on time and on budget.

Rusty’s foundations experience started in 2000 installing drilled shafts, micro piles and shoring throughout the west coast. In 2012, Rusty joined the Shimmick team. During Rusty’s career he has been fortunate to work on a few signature projects including Utah State Capital Building Seismic Upgrade, West approach to the Bay Bridge, TJPA Transbay Transit Center, Gerald Desmond Bridge, and Honolulu Airport Guideway Rail.

Rusty started his career in the field as an Operating Engineer with Local 03 and worked his way up through the company to his current position.
