Tina St. John has been working in the fashion industry since 1987. Her first job was as an Assistant Designer for Boys and Menswear Sweaters and Knits at Gitano. Tina then moved to Hampton Industries, where they worked as a Designer for branded Mens labels such as Campus and private label for Shopko, Venture, Bradlees and Caldor. Tina ran the full design department with 3 CAD assistants and traveled both domestically and overseas. In 1993, they began working at Mast Industries as a Product Manager for the Lerners Division, Womens Blouses, and traveled overseas for production. In 1994, they moved to Briefly Stated as a Designer, and then to Fishman and Tobin as a Boys Designer for Warner Bros. in 1996. In 1999, they became the Design Director at Happy Kids, and then moved to The Moret Group in 2005, where they were the Tech Director for Womens, Mens and Boys, working with labels such as 2xist, DKNY, Nautica, Levis, NEFF, Tahari, Target, Kohls, Sears and JCP. In 2022, they became a Designer Technical at Shinesty.
Tina St. John began their education in 1979, when they attended St. John's College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Liberal Arts. Tina also attended Brooks Institute for a year in 1979-1980, studying Photography. In 1986-1987, they attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and obtained an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Menswear. Tina continued their education in 2016-2018, when they attended the Art Students League of New York and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) in Fine and Studio Arts. Additionally, Tina St. John holds a certification from The Universal Church as a Minister.
