Shawn Carolan

Shawn Carolan is a Partner at Menlo Ventures since September 2002, specializing in investments related to internet, mobile, consumer electronics, and digital media. Additionally, Shawn serves as a Board Member for companies such as Chime, ShipBob, OpenSpace, and Monarch Money, focusing on initiatives that enhance financial well-being, fulfillment efficiency, construction site documentation, and accessible financial outcomes. Shawn also holds the position of DAPER Fund Director at Stanford University since November 2016, where responsibilities include sourcing investments for Stanford's athletic ambitions. Previous roles include serving on the Board of Directors for IMVU, Roku, and JUMP Bikes, as well as acting as Investment Lead for Uber from February 2013 to February 2020. Shawn holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
