Calvin Xu

Calvin Xu is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in data engineering and management. Currently serving as the Senior Engineering Manager of Data at Shippo since April 2017, Calvin recruits and leads teams in building and maintaining scalable data platforms utilizing PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora, along with developing data pipelines and a robust analytics platform. Previously, Calvin held roles such as Lead Data Architect at the State Compensation Insurance Fund, where responsibilities included overseeing data engineering projects, and as Head of Database & Data Services at SendMe, Inc. Other notable positions include managerial roles at eBay, StubHub, Siemens, and Oracle Corporation. Calvin holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology.
