Jacopo Toccacieli

Jacopo Toccacieli has a diverse work experience that spans from 2014 to 2022. In 2014, they were a Visiting Researcher at the University of Ottawa, where they analyzed communication and protocols performances between vehicles in presence of obstacles. From 2015 to 2021, they held various software engineering roles at DIVE Communications, Bumpn Inc, FarmLead, Pythian, Tehama, Plato and ShippyPro. At FarmLead, they were a Manager of Software Development, responsible for recruiting and hiring a diverse team of engineers. At Pythian, they were the Director of Engineering, leading a team of 10+ engineers responsible for delivering an internal solution. At Tehama, they were the VP of Engineering, leading a team of 40+ people working across five teams responsible for delivering the entire product lifecycle. At ShippyPro, they were the Chief Operating Officer and VP of Engineering, leading 15+ developers responsible for the core business of ShippyPro. Finally, in 2022 they joined Operators Guild as a Member.

Jacopo Toccacieli holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Engineering from the same institution. In February 2019, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org.
