Zach Voller

Zach Voller, Ph.D., currently serves as Principal Data Scientist at Shipt, where a recent redesign of the order bundling optimization framework led to significant annual savings. Prior to Shipt, Zach worked as a Quantum Research and Development Engineer at Quantum Computing, Inc., achieving a dramatic increase in job throughput and substantial cost savings through the rearchitecture of back-end services. With prior experience as Lead AI Scientist and Data Scientist at Target, Zach developed critical data pipelines and recommendation systems, contributing to both promotional forecasting and online sales enhancements. Zach's earlier roles included significant academic positions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Iowa State University, coupled with industry experience as a Teacher and Field Service Engineer. Zach holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics, along with an MS in Mathematical Sciences and a BS in Mathematics.
