Zohreh Azimifar is a highly accomplished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in the fields of computer vision and engineering. Zohreh has served as a professor at Shiraz University since February 2006, holding positions from assistant to full professor and currently directing the Research Center for Intelligent Vision and Image Processing. In addition, Zohreh has been an adjunct professor at the University of Waterloo since January 2009, overseeing research and graduate students. Other roles include chair of IEEE Women in Engineering since January 2021, CEO of Turing AI Solutions Inc since December 2019, and Chief Scientific Officer at Aerialytic. Zohreh is also the founder and director of the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Laboratory. Zohreh completed a Ph.D. in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, along with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Shiraz University.
