SUMMARY

The Systems Support Specialist role is to maintain a stable and consistent environment for all end users to provide the best platform for them to efficiently do their job. Their primary function is to troubleshoot any issues that arise for our user base and get them back to fully functional as quickly as possible. Secondary is to implement the appropriate technologies and applications to facilitate the business process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

(Include the following, other duties may be assigned)

  • Respond to user support requests via corporate ticketing system.

  • Document support resolutions and help develop the corporate Knowledgebase.

  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot company workstations, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot corporate applications.

  • Keep an accurate inventory of all equipment (PCs, laptops, tablets, software, etc…)

  • Support all printing/scanning/copying functions.

  • Support company phone system.

  • Participate in regular IT planning sessions for direction of technology in the firm.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.

  • Takes direction from management and adheres to the firm’s IT policies and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to document all solutions.

  • Leads by example and always promotes positive thinking with coworkers and customers.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and service delivery skills.

  • High level of respect and a commitment to customer service.

  • Highly responsive with an appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Can protect and keep secure all confidential business information.

  • Working knowledge of industry technology and innovations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Associates degree or equivalent in a technology related discipline.

  • Related experience should include PC software and hardware installation and troubleshooting.

  • Beginner’s knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and hardware components.

  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a Non-Exempt Part-Time position. Typical days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Will be expected to work between 10 – 24 hours per week.

TRAVEL

Light travel between local Southern California is expected for this position. Individual must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and have reliable transportation. Mileage will be reimbursed at a predetermined market rate.
