Amy Huang

Amy Huang has a diverse work experience in the field of design and research. Amy currently works at ShopBack as a Senior UX Researcher and has been in this role since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of UX Researcher at ShopBack starting from April 2021.

Before joining ShopBack, Amy worked at Mozilla as a Senior UX Researcher from December 2018 to September 2020. Amy also worked as a Design Researcher at Steelcase from August 2015 to December 2018.

Amy's experience also includes a contract role as a User Experience Designer and Design Researcher at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. in 2015. In this role, they conducted cross-cultural design research in India and created strategic business plans and healthcare solutions for young professionals in Mumbai.

Amy has also worked as a Freelance Product Designer at Wrigley from January 2014 to October 2014, and as a Freelance UX Design Researcher at Studio D Radiodurans from June 2014 to August 2014.

Amy started their career as an Industrial Design Intern at TEAMS Design in 2013. Prior to that, they worked as an Industrial Designer at R&R Associates from January 2012 to October 2012, where they focused on concept development, innovation, and product design.

Amy began their professional journey as a Junior Industrial Designer at SUBKARMA from July 2010 to October 2011, and as a PM/Junior Industrial Designer at Acute Design from April 2009 to July 2011.

Amy Huang has a Master of Design degree in Industrial and Product Design from the Institute of Design (ID), which they attended from 2013 to 2014. Before that, they pursued a degree in Design for Industry at Northumbria University from 2008 to 2009. Amy Huang also holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Product Design from Ming Chuan University, which they completed from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Amy Huang obtained a certification in "UX for AI: Design Practices for AI Developers" from LinkedIn in August 2023.
