Anh Tuan Tran

Anh Tuan Tran has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Anh'smost recent position was as the Executive Director and Head of Shopee Vietnam, a leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Anh played a key role in launching and connecting consumers, sellers, and businesses in the region. Additionally, they served as the Head of ShopeePay Vietnam, where they further contributed to the company's success.

Prior to their time at Shopee, Anh Tuan Tran worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Project Leader and Consultant. Anh also pursued an MBA at Wharton Business School, strengthening their business acumen.

In terms of earlier experience, Anh Tuan Tran had an internship in Corporate Development at Symantec and worked as an Investment Manager at DFJ VinaCapital. Anh served as a Board Member and HR Chair at the Viet Nam Scholarship Foundation and gained valuable experience as an Analyst and Senior Analyst at Lake Partners Strategy Consultants.

Before shifting into the business world, Anh Tuan Tran worked as a Bar Manager at Kathleen's 5 and interned at the Atlantic Council of The United States. Anh also served as a Volunteer Coordinator at Helping Link. Anh Tuan Tran completed their education in a chronological manner. In 2000, they enrolled at the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and International Studies. Anh studied at this institution until 2005. In 2003, during their time at the University of Washington, Anh Tuan Tran attended East China Normal University for a short period to study Chinese Language, Chinese Culture, Chinese History, International Studies, and International Relations. Later, in 2011, they joined The Wharton School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. During their time at The Wharton School, they specialized in Private Equity & Venture Capital and Finance Majors. Anh Tuan Tran completed their MBA program in 2013.
