Weijie Liu

Weijie Liu is a skilled technical leader with extensive experience in software engineering and deep learning applications. Currently serving as Technical Lead Manager at Shopee since June 2021, Weijie Liu manages an engineering team focused on building backend systems for Shopee Livestream and Feed Recommendation, integrating personalized deep learning models. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Facebook, where expertise was demonstrated in various software development projects, and Software Engineer positions at Google, contributing to the Geo Location Team and the Search Ads Quality team. Early career experience includes a significant role as an early employee at Veriflow, working on network modeling and verification, and an internship at Google. Weijie Liu holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
