Emanuel Zelniker

Senior Algorithms Researcher and Developer at Shopic

Emanuel Zelniker has a wealth of experience in the field of computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms. Emanuel began their career in 2001 as a summer student scholarship at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). In 2002, they took on the roles of Research Assistant and Tutor/Teaching Assistant at the University of Queensland. From 2006 to 2007, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide, where they worked on a patent Image Processing Method and Apparatus. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Freelance/Contractor for various clients. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Algorithms Researcher at DeepInstinct. In 2017, they became a Computer Vision and Image Processing Algorithms Developer at Applied Materials. Currently, they are a Senior Algorithms Researcher and Developer at Shopic, where they are working on computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms in the frictionless shopping industry.

Emanuel Zelniker received a BEng in Electrical Engineering (HONS class 1) from the University of Queensland between 1998 and 2001. Emanuel then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the same university, graduating in 2006.
