Bret Little

Bret Little is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Shopify, working on the Hydrogen framework for headless e-commerce since October 2021. Prior to Shopify, Bret held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Salesforce, where responsibilities included designing an innovative e-commerce storefront architecture and leading a team to develop the application while collaborating across multiple departments. Bret's earlier roles include significant contributions as a Web Development Architect and Senior JavaScript UI Engineer at Canopy, where foundational work on core products and technical initiatives was performed. Additional experience includes teaching JavaScript and frameworks at DevMountain, as well as various engineering roles at HireVue, Simplifile, and the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. Bret holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics with a Computer Science emphasis from Brigham Young University.
