Jeremy Buis

Jeremy Buis is a seasoned Application Security Engineer with extensive experience in building and securing web applications. Currently serving as a Senior Application Security Engineer at Shopify since April 2022, Jeremy previously held the same title at Software Secured from April 2018 to April 2022, where development work spanned from 2014 to 2017 as an Application Security Engineer. Jeremy's background includes web application development at The SecDev Group, where tools supporting analytics were created, and experience as a Programmer Analyst and Mobile Developer at the Canadian Medical Protective Association and XE.com Inc., respectively. Jeremy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, completed through the Honours Co-operative Program.
