Makini Borde is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in people operations and human resources. Currently serving as the Director of HR Business Partners at Shopify since February 2020, Makini has held various leadership roles within the company, focusing on developing best-in-class programs to support its mission of fostering sustainable commerce. Prior to Shopify, Makini was the People Operations Manager at You.i TV, where strategic people initiatives were implemented to enhance company culture and employee experience. Experience also includes serving as the People Development/Operations Manager at RealDecoy and working as a Project Associate for UN Women and an Electronic Channels Project Officer at Capital and Credit Financial Bank. Educational qualifications include an MBA in International Business from Mona School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from Anglia Ruskin University.
