Mehdi Kazi

Mehdi Kazi is a Staff Developer at Shopify since June 2024, working on special projects. Prior to this role, Kazi served as a Staff Software Engineer at Threads, where the platform focused on inclusive team discussions and decisions, until its acquisition by Shopify in June 2024. Kazi also held the position of Director of Technology for TEDx Berkeley from August 2015 to May 2018, overseeing significant events with over 1800 attendees. Additional experience includes working as a Course Tutor at the University of California, Berkeley, teaching introductory Computer Science, and as a Full Stack Engineer Intern at Threads, where responsibilities included collaborating with cross-functional partners on feature development. Kazi began the professional journey with an internship at Mobclix, evaluating mobile applications. Kazi earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley from 2015 to 2018 and graduated from Canyon Springs High School in 2015.
